Every single aspect of the UniRAD PROCESS FRAMEWORK is designed to meet our MISSION statement.
The high level MISSION statement shapes our organization-wide Policies. Policies are implemented via Processes. And Processes themselves are supported by Guidelines, Checklists, Templates and other documents that provide details about activities in the Process. These Processes, Guidelines, Templates are organized inside the Quality Management System. The Process Repository records our experience across engagements and help us optimize this framework even further. The UniRAD Barometer and Process Implementation(Training, Audits) framework enable us to achieve Process Leadership.

UniRAD encompasses all areas of our organization's life cycle - No area in an organization can be considered as working stand-alone. Moreover, efficiency improvement in one area is not a sufficient measure of the effectiveness of that undertaking unless it is proven that entire organization has gained from that. Keeping this in mind, following process framework creation measures have been taken by every responsible person in the organization.

  • Break the project into smaller phases.  No single phase more than 3 months.
  • Within each phase develop software iteratively as opposed to the Waterfall model.
  • Establish Project Management practices that deeply engage the client and serve as their true IT extension.
  • Establish a software platform - UniRAD Vision System - to automate the mundane tasks and reduce the process burden.
  • Training, Training and Training at the EBW Institute of Applied Software Engineering.
  • Proactive Risk Management and mitigation planning.
  • Quantitative approach to managing quality.
  • Aim at a Zero Defect deployment Six Sigma 3.4 defects in million opportunities.
  • Project culture driven purely by meritocracy.
  • Keep researching and evaluating industry best practices as they emerge and integrate those suitable into the framework.

To compete in today's increasing global competitive marketplace, ebusinessware created and evolved over the last many years a unique process framework that is based on industry best practices with a clear goal to enable us to achieve -

1) Customer Focus - We depend on our customers and therefore should understand their current and future needs, should meet their
requirements and strive to exceed their expectations.
2) System Approach to Management - We need to Identify, understand and manage interrelated processes as a system. This would contribute to effectiveness and efficiency in achieving our objectives. No single department or group within ebusinessware can be considered in isolation. The process framework MUST cover the business processes of the entire organization.
3) Factual Approach to Decision Making - We need to make effective decisions based on the analysis of data and information.
4) Independent of Geography - The process framework should not assume any particular geography. The aim is to create a Global
Virtual Center of Excellence.

The best way to understand UniRAD is to consider the metaphor of the Global Positioning System (GPS). GPS relies on two dozen satellites circling the earth. These satellites send signals to enable GPS receivers on the ground - like the in-car navigation system - to calculate their current position and the precise time. Drivers can make use of this information to make realtime adjustments and decisions and never get lost. UniRAD in much the same way as the GPS system provides mechanism to plan the process needs for your project, provide a mechanism to capture key information on a daily basis with the aid of the UniRAD Vision System, let you make adjustment to the project - if you miss a turn or an exit and arrive at your interim and final deliverables without getting lost.

Given a choice, would you rather be on your own with a paper map or use UniRAD to ensure on-time arrival of your deliverables, within budget!

  • Information Technology has transformed from being a Support Function to a key enabler in increasing service efficiency, reliability, cost-savings and competitiveness.
  • Organizations undertake large software development projects when the real need might be in mapping out and refining the underlying business process.
  • Stakeholders seldom participate in new systems development till it is too late in the game.
  • Time to market is ever shrinking putting pressure on software projects.
  • As governments, businesses and other organizations become more reliant on technology. The consequences of software failures are rarely trivial.
  • Professional Software Development is not easy.
