Debugging and performance tuning of existing stored procedures. The developer should be able to take an existing stored procedure and run in an interactive environment and analyse query plans and performance. The developer should be familiar with restructuring exiting SQL code for performance.
Design and code enhancements to the Unix ksh and Perl scripts. Candidate should have the ability to understand and make enhancements to existing ksh & perl scripts as well as the development of simple new scripts. Developer should be familiar with text processing using Perl. Familiarity with Sybase integration with Perl would be useful, as well as manipulating lists and hashes. |
